There's been a super cool detective series on Netflix recently called Dept Q. The streamer seems to be finally producing decent content - copying the BBC style of production values. Set in Edinburgh, the cast is an eclectic mix of weirdos and nationalities, with the stand-out character being the Syrian ex-fixer Akram. He does have a bit of the subservient foreigner written into him that British people like - 'he's one of the good ones'. But if you can overlook that, he's one of many draws for this show. Expect it to be a multiple series gig.

Helps that it has been adapted from a Scandic set of novels and TV series. Notably dark, like pretty much everything from that region.
So you think I’m dark huh?
