Took a few steps backwards in week 4 of the diet this week. Hosted a dinner do on Sunday which aside from setting us back nearly £1k in food and drink, it turns out Iulia and I ate most of it. Sadly. Week 3 weigh in and progress is being made. But by God, there's still a long way to go.

Our 4 yo son Loki is now in Reception and yesterday he had his first school football tournament. Big event - notable for being a rare occasion where I didn't bring my semi-professional camera to take snaps. I always look a bit of a weirdo amongst the parents with their iphones next to me with my enormous telephoto lens like I'm trying to compensate for some biological inadequacy. But if I don't take the snaps, then the parents get disappointed that they don't have the cool close ups I deliver...
