Welcome
to New Dad at 50

New Dad at 50 has got over the shock of the first two years of having another child and is now well into the Dishy Daddy stage of kid care.

Keeping Loki busy . . . .

Introducing Loki, starting at 2 years old (and now 3) half Romanian, quarter English, quarter Australian toddler who lives in West Hampstead, London. He was born on New Year's Eve in the middle of the Covid epidemic and the evidence suggests that whilst he wasn't affected, his parents clearly were.

The Nursery Run
Fraught with danger beyond traffic, hoodlums and the challenge of actually getting to the gates on time, the daily nursery run is an adrenalin rush that gets the heart pumping and juices flowing.

At the same time, there's a pair of 2 year old eyes watching your every move and posting it into their brains for ready access at precisely the wrong moment.

Every week I post a new tale of woe . . . you can gloat by checking out the New Dad at 50+ blog

Whether its being constantly amazed by how disconnected I am from my teenage daughter's brain and what entertains her social group, or relieved that I don't have to do what my eldest son is doing at University ever again, or just dealing with the constant risk of accidentally injuring my youngest (or vice versa), this is the place to check in on the chats in my head that deal with these issues every week.

Check out the latest strips via the blog.  Or the daily saga of my diet here.
