Day Twenty Three - all's fair in love and dieting

Updated: Sep 17

Not really socially acceptable in this country is to talk about the similarities between household pets and parasites. People are too invested in their domesticated animals for you to point out that their little bundles of fluff are essentially users. Highly effective leeches that have brainwashed their hosts into thinking that the massive outflow of time, money, and food sent in their direction is somehow beneficial to those providing all those goodies.

Goodies willingly gifted to a four legged creature that has a pleasing shape to humans and has convinced them that they are only two or three steps away from being humans themselves.

Well, they're not too dissimilar to children on that front. The key difference is that you can't really put a child down (i.e. with an injection) when you're sick of it. Or leave it in a box with a bunch of other children by the side of the road.

I say this because when you're dieting, the moments when food can be consumed are very precious to you. Unfortunately, they are also opportunities for the child parasites to extract more nutrients from their guardians. This creates a perilous situation for both actors.

The reason I know that Loki can't eat spicy food is because I've given him some. I have a regret about doing that. Why? Because I didn't film it. As painful as it was for Loki, it was as hilarious for me. And Iulia.

This will probably get me back on the Social Services watchlist again. That's not saying much. In this country, they don't know their arse from their elbow.

But he's remembered the experience, and so my spicy food is safe. All's fair in love and dieting.
