I guess there are a lot of things you could disagree with the head of a terrorist organisation like Hezbollah. Needn't go into them all, but Hassan Nasrallah's comments describing the pager and walkie-talkie explosions in Lebanon as 'indiscriminate' feels to me a little wide of the mark.
There are a lot of questions to be answered around how Hezbullah managed to swap out all of its mobile devices for a set of handheld bombs, manufactured cross-border, and with no one knowing about it. Who came up with the idea, who actioned it, who checked to make sure the supply chain was secure, and how did 4,000 mini-bombs manage to travel across border from Hungary into Lebanon without anyone noticing?
But indiscriminate it was not. If anything, it was highly discriminating - targeting exclusively members of Hezbollah who didn't wish to be tracked.
So I think he got it wrong there.
So true!!!
