No amount of paternal love generated by those beautiful 2 and half year old innocent blue eyes staring longingly into mine can hide the underlying truth that watching train videos together on YouTube is soul-destroyingly dull.
Perched upright on my lap, staring intently at trains on the Jubilee line going in and out of Finchley Road tube station, my toddler is in seventh heaven, and presumably getting loads of positive vibes that will help turn him into a well-adjusted adult.
The exact opposite thing is happening to me - I am calculating how many waking minutes I have left in my life, taking into account all my diseases, my age, and my prognosis, and realising there aren't as many as I'd like. And of those that I have, the last thing I want to be doing is staring at the means of my daily commute to work.
The people who make these videos should be put on some kind of register and tracked very closely.
