Day Eighty Nine - the munchies

Updated: Mar 27

We're beginning to see and feel little signs that we're on the right path. I can see my cheek bones for the first time in quite a while. And Iulia's waist is slender again.

Red alert. Trouble on the horizon...

Worse still, Easter is coming this weekend. Chocolates and cakes and all sorts of terrible things to make you fat. All in the name of Jesus.

Who follows that guy? It's all very well him resisting temptation after 40 days and nights in the wilderness, but then he serves up Easter and at no point does anyone say - oh, be like Jesus and ignore all the goodies. Nope - it's a free pass to pig out.

During the Sermon on the Mount, there wasn't any 'blessed are the dieters, because they're having a really rough time and would love some chocolate too, but are being good so they'll end up in a special bit of heaven where they never get fat'. Nah - that's not in the Bible.

But it should be.

Food poverty and wastage are bad

Play with me.

You mustn’t waste food.

Why?

Because nanny says so.

Why?

Because - I don’t know. Ask her.
