Day Ninety One - dad's birthday

My father seemed to always be on a diet. Mysterious one at that - from what I can recall it involved calorie counting during the week, and then being very indulgent over the weekend. Mum too. Didn't include any exercise. And drinking pretty much every evening.

As a result, they never seemed to lose any weight.

Anyway, it's his birthday today - the one day of the year when you can reasonably go off your diet, albeit that going off their diet is probably better for you than staying on it.

My mum, the cyclops, has been feeding me (so to speak) dieting tips but it is only recently that I've processed that she seems to have been on some form of diet for most of her 76 years - and still isn't happy with the outcome.

I think it's time for some role reversal. Starting with this tip - stop telling me how to diet. Just sit back and watch me transform like a chrysalis into a ravishing Adonis.
