One Hundred and Forty - showers

Updated: May 17

It's only when you go back to corporate travel that all the tiny irritations that make it such a pain in the arse come flooding back to you. In some cases, literally...

They call it UX at work. The User eXperience. Designers go to great efforts to create a user experience that is 'human-centric', as opposed to modifying their products to suit the needs of dolphins or centipedes.

I could put up with all this consulting bullshit if at the end of all of that the product that comes out of the hopper actually is 'human centric' and design friendly. But mostly they're absolutely not. Like all the variations in mechanisms across the globe to get water out of a faucet. They used to be called taps, but evidently that doesn't deliver a satisfactory enough UX.

F#ck UX.

I couldn't agree more. So many times I had to sleep with some of the hotel room lights on as I had no idea where the switch was 😉
