In Chapter 2 of the Gospel Truth we take a quick diversion from His healing of a deaf mute to understand how this remarkable fellow Jesus came into being. We join the story as a fisherman sits on the Sea of Galilee waiting dolefully for the chance of a catch.

Quotations taken from Matthew 3, verses 11, 14, and 15, then John 1, verse 26, and finally Luke 3, verse 22.

At this point, we turn to the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 1, verses 26-38 . . .

The story as related in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 1, verses 18-24, is continued in the remainder of Chapter 2 of the Gospel Truth which you can download from the Shop section of this website.

Maybe. Not sure it works. We'll see.

And for those of you who are wondering, what's 'Annunciation' when it's at home, well fair enough. However, if you've ever wandered around an art gallery and stumbled into the medieval section, then you're likely to be confronted with at least one picture like this . . .

This is the Annunciation by Leonardo Da Vinci in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence painted somewhere between 1472-1475 - and shows the Archangel Gabriel raising two fingers to Mary, who at this stage is not yet the Mother of Jesus.

It basically depicts the moment that Gabriel 'announces' to Mary she's going to be the Mother of God's only Son. She's taking it rather well in Da Vinci's picture. The Gospel Truth depicts a more modern interpretation.
