The dining table is an important part of family life. It's where everyone gathers at least once in the day to catch up on things, discuss events, and most critical of all when you're on a diet, eat like a bastard.
It's also where members of the family learn etiquette and the art of conversation. The newer the mind, the greater potential to absorb what to do from others at the table.
A list of things worse than dieting is quite a good way to feel like you haven't got it that bad. Going to school with post-pubescent teenagers would be in the top 10 on that list - up there with being kidnapped by terrorists or being relentlessly bombed by a fascist state.
Unfortunately skiing is also on my list. Which will be most of next week. Here's hoping it burns off the fat.
I think there is something about Gen Z! Will we ever understand them?
