It's really important when you're dieting to set sensible goals. That's what the experts say anyway.
I also think that's exactly the same thing people say who've just broken their diet. Speaking from experience.
Yesterday's birthday party was such an onslaught of preparation, delivery and clean up that I honestly believe some murders are easier to plan. So back at home base after every bugger had disappeared, Iu and I fell asleep immediately, then woke up at 3am with the munchies.
There's probably nothing worse when you're trying to stay on a diet to have the munchies in the witching hour and find yourself surrounded by cake and plonk. Literally enough to feed 50 people. The problem being that even a decent stab at eating some of that stuff still leaves a great deal untouched, so in your head you think 'oh it's not that bad - at least I didn't eat all of it'.
Not looking forward to the scales tomorrow. Still, good news is we've both got 'sensible goals'.
