I read an interesting sign posted on one of the social media channels I'm now addicted to (thanks kids) which related to rugby. It was a sign outside a rugby club which said... 'your child's success or lack of success in sports does not indicate what kind of parent you are. But having an athlete that is coachable, respectful, mentally tough, resilient and tries their best IS a direct reflection of your parenting.'
So that means we can never take Loki to a rugby club then.
Despite my passion for the game, I can honestly never remember a moment in any match I played where I wasn't filled with either terror and dread, or so knackered that I wished the whole thing would end as soon as possible.
And that's what I want for my youngest son too.
At least in England the pitches have grass. In Australia it was like playing on a concrete car park, the soil was so dry.
Right you are, ballet is the future
