For a long time I've avoided looking at myself in mirrors. I particularly hate going into flashy shops with extravagant reflective surfaces and catching a glimpse of the optical illusion of a hundred thousand versions of enormous myself disappearing into infinity.
Every snatched image is side-on and the least flattering view you can imagine. And usually there's a bunch of young and skinny people nearby who just accentuate the difference between me and them.
I f#cking hate mirrors.
My main way to avoid looking at myself in mirrors is to squint or go cross-eyed. Which must look damn weird to anyone watching me. Like some kind of nervous tick.
It's purely to avoid seeing the visualisation of the ghastly truth.
Not true. There are mirrors that make me look gorgeoys
A very long time! I’ve noticed.
