Everyone is looking for a frictionless way to offer their services that keeps customers sticky, guarantees cashflow, and creates a platform for growth.
Strategy man has been looking at the subscription model and found a case example that is widespread and brings long term benefits.
In fairness, this example is mainly down to the total disorganisation of the subject rather than the insidious practices that consultants advise. Consultants are more focussed on clever pricing strategies that give you a whole load of useless crap in the cheaper bundles and force you to go for the premium package to get what you really want.
That's a different kind of evil. And I think excusable.
The thing I really can't stand is the subscription services that make it impossible to leave them by having the 'cancel button' placed somewhere next to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Or in Shangri-La.
Or in Alexander the Great's tomb. Wherever that may be.
You get the picture.
